Something we look at when we initially take on a client for managed SEO services is their bounce rate. A bounce rate is the rate in which a user clicks on your website before clicking off your website. Having a low bounce rate is highly beneficial for two main reasons; firstly its an indication that your website is engaging your audience to a point where they are more likely to convert into a lead or sale for your business, secondly it will positively effect your SEO as search engines will see your site as providing valuable content and will thus rank your site higher in the SERPs. On average a good bounce rate is determined to be around 20% however this will be higher for certain industries where time spent on a website is lower or higher in general.
